I samarbete med Vattenfall vill vi inbjuda dig till seminariet:
A society free from fossil fuels within one generation of time – is it possible?
Welcome to Vattenfall’s seminar Fossil Free Future!
We will hear Vattenfall’s Senior R&D Engineer Johan Westin presenting three ongoing partnership projects within the Swedish steel, cement and refinery industries to reduce CO₂-emissions. He will also reveal an upcoming project aiming to address the CO₂-emissions from the chemical industry. Together these industry sectors contribute to 70% of the Swedish industrial greenhouse gas emissions.
Magnus Berg, R&D Portfolio Manager at Vattenfall, will speak about the development of battery technology. What is the role of the batteries in the fossil free future? Can battery cells be combined with sun and other renewable energy sources? What applications are there currently? Are batteries environmentally friendly from a life cycle analysis perspective? You will also meet Pasi Kuokkanen, Managing Director for ELFI who will give the market’s view of the new challenges.
Where? Embassy of Sweden, Pohjoisesplanadi 7A, Helsinki
When? February 28th, 8.30-13.00
The seminar ends with a lunch in the embassy’s banquet hall for those who want to join and continue the conversation with industry peers.
